Music for the Knife River Indian Villages with Keith Bear

Grammy-nominated flutist Keith Bear shared his special gifts of Mandan-Hidatsa flute playing, singing, and storytelling with visitors to Knife River Indian Villages NHS on Saturday, July 20. He brought several flutes that he or his family made. Each flute had a special song and story.

Keith Bear has earned several honors for his music, presentations, and contributions to his Native culture. This year, he was named to the North Dakota Native American Hall of Honor, located at the Heritage Center and State Museum in Bismark.
