History Comes Alive at Monocacy National Battlefield, August 10-11, 2019

FREDERICK, MD - Join Monocacy National Battlefield on Saturday and Sunday, August 10-11, 2019, for a living history weekend. Visitors can explore an encampment of soldiers, experience Civil War music and witness infantry and artillery demonstrations.

Living historians representing the 1st Living History Battalion and 1st PA Battery F will set up authentic camps, specific to soldiers on campaign, at the Visitor Center. They will discuss and demonstrate the equipment, tactics and experiences of the common infantrymen who served during the Civil War. Monocacy Field Music will perform music from the Civil War.

10:00 a.m. Infantry Firing Demonstrations

11:00 a.m. Monocacy Field Music

12:00p.m Artillery Firing Demonstration

1:00 p.m. Monocacy Field Music

2:00 p.m. Infantry Firing Demonstrations

3:00 p.m. Artillery Firing Demonstration

Sunday, August 11:
