SAVANNAH, GA - Fort Pulaski National Monument invites you to help clear park trails on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, for our National Public Lands Day event. Fort Pulaski’s trail system provides various recreational opportunities for visitors- from the casual hiker to the trail biker. Efforts during this event will focus on clearing and cleaning up the trails to keep them in good, usable condition for park visitors.

National Public Lands Day 2019 is a great day to get out and give back to your National Park. Trail restoration and maintenance keep parks and other public lands healthy and enable visitors to enjoy the health and recreational benefits of these special places now and in the future. Typical trail maintenance activities include cutting overgrown vegetation and reconstructing trail tread. This is a family- friendly event with chores for people of all ages and abilities.
THINGS TO BRING: Water, appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, and work/ gardening gloves if you have them.
