The storm debris project at Fort Pulaski National Monument continues and is progressing eastward in the park. Much of the park trail system near the park picnic area is currently closed for public safety. Access to and from the park picnic area will be marked along Cockspur Island Road and will utilize the fort's historic dike system. Please refer to the provided map regarding closed and accessible areas. There is no current timetable when this area of the park will reopen for public use. We appreciate everyone's patience during this project and will provide updates as they become available.
