Steamtown National Historic Site Winter Hours Begin Sunday, December 29, 2019

SCRANTON, Pa. - Steamtown National Historic Site will begin reduced winter visitation hours on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019. Park hours will be 10:00 am until 4:00 pm daily, with the reduced hours remaining in effect until late March 2020. Additionally, the park will be closed on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2020.

Despite the reduction in hours, the site’s two museums, static equipment displays, guided Shop tours, ranger-led programs, orientation film, junior ranger programs, and temporary exhibits await your visit. And keep an eye out for announcements about exciting special upcoming activities during the winter months.

Located in downtown Scranton, Pa., Steamtown NHS is open daily from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. From I-81 follow exit 185 (Central Scranton Expressway); then follow the brown and white signs to the park entrance at Lackawanna Avenue and Cliff Street (GPS: N 41.41, W 75.67).
