Celebrate the night sky with us! On March 21st, 2020 from 6:30 to 9:00pm, The National Park Service and The Astronomers of Verde Valley would like to invite the public to Tuzigoot National Monument to explore the skies. The evening will begin at 6:30 with a ranger talk about super-novae. Telescopes provided by astronomy club members will be open for public viewing from 7:00 to 9:00pm. Night time activities are FREE!
For a safe and fun evening, we advise that visitors wear close toed shoes and bring flashlights with a red filter. We also ask that children refrain from wearing light-up shoes because bright lights can interfere with night vision.
Our staff will make every effort to ensure that children and adults of all abilities are fully included in all our recreation programs, facilities, and parks. For questions about accessible amenities or to let us know how we may best meet your needs in any of our programs, please call Tuzigoot National Monument at 928-634-5564.
More than 20,000 National Park Service employees care for America's 419 national parks and work with communities across the nation to help preserve local history and create close-to-home recreational opportunities.
Tuzigoot National Monument is located at 25 Tuzigoot Road, Clarkdale, AZ. For additional information, call 928-634-5564 or visit www.nps.gov/tuzi.
