Booker T. Washington National Monument Is Modifying Operations To Implement Local Health Guidance

Hardy, VA - Booker T. Washington National Monument is announcing additional modifications to operations in response to the state of Virginia’s Stay at Home Order. The health and safety of our visitors, employees, volunteers, and partners is our number one priority. The National Park Service (NPS) is working servicewide with federal, state, and local authorities to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic

Effective immediately, Booker T. Washington NM will be closed to all park visitors until further notice. We will notify the public when we resume full operations and provide updates on our website www.nps.gov/bowa and social media channels.

The NPS encourages people to take advantage of the many digital tools already available to explore Booker T. Washington National Monument, including the park’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/BookerTWashingtonNPS.

Updates about NPS operations will be posted on www.nps.gov/coronavirus. Please check with individual parks for specific details about park operations.
