Ongoing investigation for a visitor fatality at Golden Gate National Recreation Area

US Park Rangers assigned to the Special Investigation Unit at Golden Gate National Recreation Area are seeking tips from the public to aid an investigation for a visitor fatality. On Jan. 21, 2021, a visitor fell from a cliff near Battery Rathbone, an area adjacent to the one-way section of Conzelman Road in the park.

Information from other visitors is often very helpful to investigators. If you were near Battery Rathbone or the one-way section of Conzelman Road on January 21 around 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., please contact us - even if you do not think you witnessed the incident. You don't have to tell us who you are, but please tell us what you know:
