Voyageurs National Park’s Tour Boat Reservations - available now

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on April 15, 2021. It is reproduced in full below.

INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN: Get an early start on your summer plans by reserving a seat aboard the park’s touring vessel, the Voyageur, and experience the park in a whole new way. Park staff will be offering 2021 boat tour programs in a limited format of 25% capacity, or 12 passengers per tour. Capacity may increase as local health indicators allow.

The 2-hour Discover Rainy Lake Cruise will take visitors in search of abandoned gold mines, abundant wildlife, and a historic commercial fish camp, while the 1.5-hour Little American Island Tour will give visitors a glimpse of the area’s mining past on a ¼ mile ranger-guided (accessible) walk.

Both tours will depart from the Rainy Lake Visitor Center every Wednesday and Friday beginning June 23 through August 25. Reservations become available on recreation.gov today. Visitors can purchase tickets by going to the Voyageurs National Park Tours page on www.recreation.gov, or by calling the National Call Center at (877) 444-6777.

For more information about guided tours and a complete tour boat schedule, visit the park’s website at www.nps.gov/voya.
