KINDERHOOK, NEW YORK - Martin Van Buren National Historic will offer reduced fall hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday beginning November 7, 2021. The visitor center will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9 to 4:00.
Restroom facilities, the Passport Stamp, and brochures are available throughout the day. Guided tours of Lindenwald, Martin Van Buren’s home, will be offered Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, and 3:00 pm. Tours last 45 minutes and cover the interior of the home, the Van Buren family, and the history of the site. Sign up for the tour will be available in the visitor center a half-hour beforehand.
Park grounds remain open daily from 7 am to sunset. Pick up a brochure in the parking lot and follow the three-quarter mile wayside loop to learn more about Martin Van Buren’s post-presidency home.
