MANTEO, N.C. - Cape Hatteras National Seashore awarded a $190,850.00 contract to Achuti, LLC (Raleigh, N.C.) to renovate the inside of the restroom facility near the Ocracoke Island Discovery Center, starting Feb. 28, 2022. Two restrooms located behind the renovated facility will be available to the public during the project.
Some of the new items to be installed in the restroom facility include:

Toilets in each restroom and urinal in men’s restroom

Double sinks and faucets
*
Hand dryers
*
Doors and partitions
*
Mirrors
*
Insulation in exterior walls
*
Light fixtures and electrical wiring
*
Plumbing piping
The contractor’s schedule indicates that the project will be completed by the beginning of May 2022.
