Stephanie Auten named as budget analyst for NPS Wildland Fire Program

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on June 6. It is reproduced in full below.

The National Park Service Wildland Fire Program welcomes Stephanie Auten to the Wildland Fire Planning & Budget team as a budget analyst. She will be supporting the servicewide wildland fire budget and the incident business program areas.

Stephanie has worked for more than 10 years with Grand Canyon National Park, administratively supporting a complex fire and aviation management program. In that time, she has also assisted several other park fire programs, including Lake Meredith NRA in Texas, from which she will be working remotely.

Stephanie has a keen appreciation for learning, mentoring, and doing all that she can to foster skill development in others. An Air Force veteran, Stephanie is also an impressive baker, avid reader, someone who appreciates allegory through tattoos, and most importantly, mom to a pretty spectacular 10-year-old daughter. Welcome to the Wildland Fire Planning and Budget team, Stephanie.
