Mesa Verde National Park Fire Restriction Order Rescinded

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on June 24. It is reproduced in full below.

* Lighting or maintaining a fire is allowed in designated campground fire rings. Stoves and equipment fueled by petroleum or liquid propane gas (LPG) fuels are allowed.

* Discharging, or using any kind of fireworks or other pyrotechnic devices, is prohibited at all times on all federal public lands, including Mesa Verde National Park.

Violation of the above prohibited acts is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 and/or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.
