The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Campbell Creek Science Center (CCSC) is joining with the National Park Service, Alaska Consortium of Zooarchaeologists, and other partners to celebrate International Archaeology Day.
Come throw a spear with an atlatl, unravel the mysteries of old bones, move like a mammoth, and more. International Archaeology Day will be held at CCSC on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, with an open-house- style format.
“We’re really looking forward to celebrating International Archaeology Day,” said Nancy Patterson, CCSC manager. “Alaska has such a rich history, and this is a great opportunity to dive into just what has made these lands so unique.”
