On Friday, June 28, the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy hosted a webinar on the energy efficiency aspects of the President's Climate Action Plan. Rick Duke, Associate Director of the White House Council on Environmental Quality and the Domestic Policy Council, provided an overview of President Obama's comprehensive Climate Action Plan to cut the carbon pollution that causes climate change and threatens our health. The Department of Energy's Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency, Kathleen Hogan, provided a deeper dive into how EERE will implement the plan's action steps to cut energy waste in our homes, businesses, and factories.
