May 12: Live Webinar on H2USA Station Analysis Tools

The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "Overview of Station Analysis Tools Developed in Support of H2USA" on Tuesday, May 12, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. This webinar features analytical tools called Hydrogen Refueling Stations Analysis Models and Hydrogen Financial Analysis Tools that were developed by Argonne National Laboratory and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. These complimentary tools address key technical and financial barriers to hydrogen refueling infrastructure and deployment, while also providing in-depth financial analysis on returns on investment.

May 20: Live Webinar on Interoperable Buildings

The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "Connected Buildings Interoperability Vision" on Wednesday, May 20, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Presenters from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory will present materials from the March 11-12 Buildings Interoperability Technical Meeting in Seattle, Washington. During this meeting industry experts discussed the emerging transformation of buildings into interconnected systems of devices, as inspired by the Internet of Things initiatives, as well as next-generation automation concepts and challenges.

The webinar targets analysts, energy planners, and community officials on the principles used for identifying potential problems associated with benchmarking data and discusses a process for cleaning data prior to analysis. This webinar will help cities, communities, schools, and states that are implementing an internal or community-wide building benchmarking program, working to better understand energy use trends, and designing effective energy efficiency programs.

March 18: Webinar on Building America Research Tools

The Energy Department will presented a live webinar titled "Building America Research Tools: Field Test Best Practices, National Residential Efficiency Measures Database, and BEopt" on Wednesday, March 18. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) staff provide an overview of Field Test Best Practices, a Web-based tool for field experiments and long-term monitoring of residential building systems. This overview will include content structure, demonstrate key features, and introduce a new discussion forum. NREL staff also present the National Residential Efficiency Measures Database, a centralized resource of residential building retrofit measures and costs for the U.S. building industry. Additionally, the BEopt (Building Energy Optimization) tool is also discussed, including opportunities for builders to improve their home designs by finding the best efficiency measures for their climate and budget.
