The Energy Department presented a live webinar titled "New Construction Hybrid-Ductless Heat Pumps Study; Resistance is Futile" on Wednesday, June 24. This webinar focuses on the use of ductless heat pumps (DHP) as a hybrid "all electric" heating system in new high performance homes. The presentation provides an overview of DHPs and includes energy and economic analysis based on monitored field results of an ENERGY STAR community called The Woods at Golden Given, built by Habitat for Humanity. Presenters include Micahael Lubliner with Washington State University and Bruce Carter with Tacoma Power.
