October 26: Live Webinar on Bioproducts in the Federal Bioeconomy

The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "Bioproducts in the Federal Bioeconomy Portfolio" on Monday, Oct. 26, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. This webinar will discuss how bioproducts displace traditional products made from fossil fuels at competitive prices, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and enable the commercialization of biofuels. Speakers Nichole Fitzgerald of the U.S. Department of Energy's Bioenergy Technologies Office, Kate Lewis of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Dennis Hall of Ohio State University Bioproducts Innovation, will discuss how the federal government is promoting sustainability through bioproducts research, commercialization, and market development.

This webinar is a continuation of the Tribal Renewable Energy Webinar series, and attendees will learn about the available financing options and DOE resources that can make tribal energy projects economically feasible. Speakers include Jason Coughlin of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory; Matt Ferguson, attorney for Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP; and Edward Zaelke of the law firm Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP.
