Kevin and Sarah Swope own Heritage Lane Farm in Columbiana, Ohio. Since 1992, the two have created a diverse operation on the 53-acre farm, with livestock and crop production. They market their products at Shaker Heights Farmers Market in Cleveland on Saturday mornings.
With NRCS funding, Kevin has been able to construct five high tunnels at his farm. He says that using the produce grown from the high tunnels has both generated more interest in their market stand and extended their market season.
Watch the video for some high tunnel tips on proper siting, drainage, micro irrigation and more!
