Former Correctional Officer Admits to Abusive Sexual Contact With Inmate

in Dublin, California, pleaded guilty to one count of abusive sexual contact.  Enrique Chavez pleaded guilty in the Northern District of California.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, in or about October 2020, Chavez knowingly engaged in or caused sexual contact with a BOP inmate by intentionally touching the victim’s genitals and breasts in a sexual manner.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Los Angeles Field Office and the FBI, with substantial efforts by OIG’s Cyber Investigations Office.
