October: U.S. Department of Agriculture publishes 22 press releases

There were 22 press releases published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in October.

The most recent press release, "Biden-Harris Administration signs $50 Million Agreement with National Wild Turkey Federation for Innovative, Long-Term National Master Stewardship Agreement," was submitted on Oct. 28.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture published 19 releases the month before, marking a 15.8 percent increase for the current month.

The Department is primarily focused on food nutrition, with assistance programs making up 80 percent of its budget. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, said the Department implements too many regulations and restrictions and impedes the economy.

The USDA's budget for 2021 sat at $146 billion, with programming costing $119 billion.
