Cantwell Wants Children’s Online Privacy Bills Passed During Lame Duck

Today, Commerce Committee spokesperson Tricia Enright provided the following statement regarding Chair Cantwell’s full support for efforts to pass Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2.0) and the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) during the lame duck session.    

“Senator Cantwell is talking to families this week and supports any effort to get children’s online privacy passed during the lame duck.”

The Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act and the Kids Online Safety Act were both passed out of the Senate Commerce Committee on July 27, 2022.
