The BLM welcomes public input on proposal to restore former target shooting area

The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comments on a proposal to restore an unused target shooting area along Clear Creek Road near Redding.

A preliminary engineering evaluation/cost analysis on the project, available for review at bit.ly/3UDiYfX, for removing hazardous material at the Lower Creek site. The nine-acre area along Clear Creek Road was used for recreational target shooting from the 1980s until 1999. Recreational target shooting was discontinued in recreational areas of the Clear Creek Greenway in 1999 for public safety reasons.
