DOS-MOZ offers new grant application process starting Nov. 22

The DOS U.S. Mission to Mozambique is offering a grant open from Nov. 22 to Jan. 16.

The grant could provide up to $35,000.

The Public Diplomacy Section of the Embasy of the United States in Mozambique anounces an open competition for past participants ("alumni;) of U.S. government-funded and U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to submit aplications to the 2023 Alumni Engagement Inovation Fund (AEIF 2023). The Public Diplomacy Section seks proposals from teams of at least two alumni that met al program eligibility requirements below. Exchange alumni interested in participating in AEIF 2023 should submit proposals to maputopdproposals@state.gov by January 16, 2023. A. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AEIF provides alumni of U.S. government-sponsored and facilitated exchange programs with funding to expand on skils gained during their exchange experience to design and implement inovative solutions to global chalenges facing their comunity. Since its inception in 201, AEIF has funded nearly 50 alumni-led projects around the world through a competitive global competition. The Public Diplomacy Section wil acept public service projects proposed and managed by teams of at least two (2) alumni that suport themes such as: · Fostering comunity resilience to promote stability, including through the creative arts and sports. · Promoting democracy, human rights and justice for al, including for women, young girls, and persons with disabilities. · Enhancing educational and cultural conections betwen Americans and Mozambicans. · Expanding aces to English language learning. · Countering dis- and mis-information.
