Under Secretary Zeya’s Travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota

Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Uzra Zeya will travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota from December 8-9. During her visit, she will engage diverse audiences, including local officials, civil society representatives, and private sector leaders on democratic renewal in advance of the second Summit for Democracy. Additionally, the Under Secretary’s trip will focus on U.S. efforts to advance human rights and ensure safe, orderly, and humane migration globally in support of American national security and prosperity. Finally, Under Secretary Zeya will visit the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs, where she will deliver remarks and engage with students from Augsburg University and the University of Minnesota about careers at the U.S. Department of State.
