WASHINGTON - House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Nita M. Lowey (D-NY) today introduced a continuing resolution to extend federal government funding through Sunday and allow coronavirus relief negotiations to conclude.
“The American people urgently need coronavirus relief and this short stopgap bill will allow bipartisan, bicameral negotiators to complete their work on this important issue," said Chairwoman Lowey. “I look forward to swiftly passing omnibus appropriations and coronavirus relief legislation through the House as soon as possible."
The House is expected to consider the legislation this evening. The text of the legislation, H. J. Res. 107, is available.
