House Appropriations Committee Chair Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03) released the following statement after the House Republican Conference voted to change its rules to allow Members to submit Community Project Funding requests:
“I am pleased that Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle recognize that Community Project Funding will help our communities, particularly now as the pandemic has exposed so many needs.
“I look forward to working with my colleagues on fiscal year 2022 appropriations bills that meet our nation’s needs, including with Community Project Funding that puts Members first-hand knowledge of their districts to work on behalf of the people we represent."
