Chair Rodgers Announces Full Committee Markup to Consider Oversight and Authorization Plan for 118th Congress

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on Feb. 6. It is reproduced in full below.

Washington, D.C. - House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy Rodgers (R-WA) today noticed a Full Committee markup to consider the Committee's Oversight and Authorization Plan for the 118th Congress.

“For the past two years, Democrats have largely declined to conduct oversight over the Biden administration. From authoritarian COVID-19 policies, to the President’s war on American energy, to a host of issues in between, Republicans will work to hold the executive branch accountable to the American people. Our Committee will prioritize identifying and eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government. Ultimately, these efforts will help restore public trust in government and inform our ability to develop good policy and reauthorize lapsed agencies and programs within our purview."

WHAT: A Full Committee Markup to consider adoption of the Oversight and Authorization Plan for the 118th Congress
