NIFA has awarded a three-year, $649,998 grant to Colorado State University (CSU). CSU’s Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) Data Science for Food and Agricultural Systems (DSFAS) project will model vulnerabilities and responses of the entire system for animal protein production and use. The models will support farmers, ranchers and consumers in building resilience to shocks (COVID-variants, cyber-attacks, extreme weather, animal disease outbreaks, etc.).
