The U.S. Bureau of Land Management commented on recent vandalism at Moccasin Mountain Dinosaur Tracksite.
The area, which contains tracks from several different dinosaur species was reportedly vandalized with graffiti, according to a Feb. 14 news release. A $2,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for damage or vandalism at the site.
“We have a shared stewardship to protect public lands for the protection, preservation and enjoyment of future generations," Paria River District Manager Harry Barber. "We take acts of vandalism seriously, and it is important that those responsible are held accountable.”

The site is located in Kanab, Utah, according to the BLM website. The site has been preserved for more than 180 million years, and it is estimated hundreds of tracks from various dinosaurs have been discovered there. The area, within a Navajo sandstone wash, is only accessible to visitors by foot.
According to a 12News report, graffiti paint, carving and miscellaneous items were left at the site, which sits on the Utah/Arizona border.
