Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met today with Côte d’Ivoire’s Foreign Minister Kandia Camara. The Ambassador and the Foreign Minister discussed their shared priorities including addressing global food insecurity, advancing global health security, upholding the UN Charter and addressing the worsening security environment in West Africa, including through Côte d’Ivoire’s continued participation in the UN peacekeeping mission in Mali. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield also thanked Côte d’Ivoire for its collaboration and partnership at the United Nations, especially through the Human Rights and Economic and Social Councils.
