The USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Idaho announced Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 sign-ups using Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funding through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP).
The application deadlines are:
- CSP - March 24, 2023
- EQIP - April 7, 2023
- IRA will provide an additional $19.5 billion over five years for climate smart agriculture through several NRCS conservation programs.
- This builds on other climate efforts, including the renewed efforts to encourage producers to adopt cover crops, adopt soil health practices and implement nutrient management in recent years.
