ZAGREB - Today U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves met with Romanian Minister of Energy Virgil-Daniel Popescu at the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation Ministerial Conference. During their meeting, the two discussed Department of Commerce’s and Ministry of Energy’s ongoing commitment to close cooperation on bilateral and transatlantic economic and commercial issues related to Romania’s energy sector. The Deputy Secretary commended the Minister and Government of Romania for their efforts to ensure the safety and security of critical sectors such as the civil nuclear sector. He also emphasized the United States’ commitment to Romania’s energy security and commended the Government of Romania for hosting the Three Seas Initiative in 2023.
