OSHA to provide in-person, online training event on workplace safety, health for federal agency employees, Aug. 8-10

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration will offer a three-day training event Aug. 8-10, 2023, in Arlington Heights, Illinois, for federal workers responsible for their agencies' workplace safety and health.

OSHA's Office of Federal Agency Programs and its OSHA Training Institute will conduct a series of in-person and online half-day seminars on a variety of workplace safety topics. These include fall protection, accident investigation, Construction Focus Four, confined spaces, workplace violence, job hazard analysis, machine guarding, forklift and material handling, and safety data sheets.

Attendance is free and open only to federal employees. To participate, register between June 5 and July 14. Contact OTI Student Services at oti.registration@dol.gov for assistance.

OSHA offers training opportunities to the private sector, including federal contractors, with paid tuition. OTI provides training and education in occupational safety and health for federal and state compliance officers, state consultants, other federal agency personnel, and the private sector.
