The Natural Resources Conservation Service in Idaho has released the March Water Supply Outlook Report for the 2023 water year (WY23).
As of March 1, the snowpack in Idaho is near to above normal except near the Canadian border. Water supply varies significantly across the state despite near to above normal snowpack conditions. Water supply in the Boise River Basin looks very good this year, adequate for Owyhee, Bear River, Salmon Falls, Little Wood, and Big Lost water users. Water supply will likely be limited for some Upper Snake River, Oakley and Magic Reservoir water users unless the snowpack continues to increase significantly and/or we have a wet spring.
