Quick Facts

Location:

Davis Bayou, MS

In front of you is the CCC outlook, originally put at the end of this trail to give visitors a view of the bayou. This view is now somewhat obscured by vegetation, as the National Park Service values allowing nature to blossom as much as possible. However, the water can still be seen beyond the palmetto leaves and magnolia tree branches.

The foundations of this outlook mark the location of the dining pavilion built and used by the Civilian Conservation Corps while creating this recreation area.
