The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal Plant Health and Inspection Service (APHIS) is recognizing Croatia, Poland, Northern Ireland and Scotland as negligible risk for Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE). APHIS is taking this action based on our review of the World Organization for Animal Health’s (OIE) supporting information regarding the risk designations for these four regions. APHIS published a notice available for public comment in April and received one comment. View the final notice here.
