The following Stakeholder Message was published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service on Sept. 30, 2020. It is reproduced in full below.

In March 2020, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) published a notice in the Federal Register announcing plans to implement phase 6 of the Lacey Act enforcement schedule, effective Oct. 1, 2020. In August, we announced that we would delay implementation of phase 6. As a result, stakeholders will not be required to file declarations for products in phase 6 on Oct. 1, 2020. APHIS will publish a notice in the Federal Register announcing the new implementation date. APHIS will continue to provide the latest information through the Stakeholder Registry. Please visit the Lacey Act website to learn more about the enforcement schedule.
