APHIS Publishes Notice for Importation of Fresh Baby Kiwi Fruit from France into the Continental United States

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is informing the public of a notice for the importation of commercial baby kiwi fruit (Actinidia arguta) from France into the continental United States. APHIS has drafted a pest risk assessment (PRA) that describes potential pests associated with the commodity and a risk management document (RMD) detailing the mitigations that will ensure safe importation into the United States. Currently, fresh baby kiwi is not allowed importation from France into the United States.APHIS is making these documents available for 60 days for public review and comment on or before Aug. 22, 2022.
