Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, said that AI Cloud provides an answer to the universal demand for AI integration within companies. He points out that companies are increasingly desiring to become involved in AI, and Salesforce's new product lets them do exactly that.
According to a recent press release, AI Cloud represents a suite of functionalities that have been fine-tuned to provide reliable, transparent and immediate generative experiences across all apps and processes. Reportedly, its newly introduced Einstein GPT addresses potential issues and risks linked to the adoption of AI by allowing clients to fulfill their data security and compliance requirements while still reaping the benefits of generative AI. The release states that these capabilities coupled with robust security fortify Salesforce's standing as the leading AI Customer Relationship Management solution.
"Einstein" is the core component of AI Cloud, marking its presence as the world's first AI specifically developed for CRM, according to the release. It powers an enormous number of predictions each week across various Salesforce apps. Einstein uses AI to enhance productivity and efficiency for organizations across a variety of fields such as sales, marketing, service and commerce. Reportedly, it will let sales teams craft personalized emails, enables service teams to produce tailored chat responses, allows marketers to create targeted content and aids developers in generating and debugging code.
“AI is reshaping our world and transforming business in ways we never imagined, and every company needs to become AI-first,” Benioff said in the release. “AI Cloud, built on the No. 1 CRM, is the fastest and easiest way for our customers to unleash the incredible power of AI, with trust at the center driven by our new Einstein GPT Trust Layer. AI Cloud will unlock incredible innovation, productivity and efficiency for every company.”
The release points out that while corporate leaders see the potential of generative AI, various concerns about topics such as data governance create a trust deficit. Salesforce reports their research reveals that 73% of workers see new security risks in generative AI, with almost 60% uncertain about how exactly to ensure data security. To address these concerns, the “Einstein GPT Trust Layer” was created, which reportedly prevents LLMs (large-language models) from storing sensitive client information. The release claims this allows businesses to uphold data governance while still exploiting the vast potential of generative AI.
According to the company's website, Salesforce is a company that provides software that is cloud-based to transform business-customer interactions, increasing prospect discovery, deal closure and customer service. The company’s product suite, Customer 360, integrates sales, commerce, marketing, IT and service, presenting a unified view of customer data, enabling businesses to better serve customers.
