Penn State College of Medicine will spearhead a project providing technical assistance to businesses in Pennsylvania and New York

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a statement announcing that a grant in the amount of $1.19 million would be awarded to the Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center in order to assist with efforts to reduce pollution. The statement was published on the EPA's website. The Investing in America initiative, which is being overseen by Vice President Joe Biden, will get these funds, which were made available by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act.

According to the press release, the monies will be used to reduce pollution in places with low incomes. This will contribute to environmental justice by advancing the field of study, so it's good news all around. The primary purpose of the campaign will be to raise sales of the 1,900 items that have been granted the Safer Choice accreditation by the EPA as a consequence of their low chemical emissions and little or non-existent negative impacts on human beings. This accreditation was provided by the EPA because the products in question have a lower risk of causing adverse health effects to people.

According to a press release issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Administrator Michael S. Regan was quoted as saying that "Achieving lasting environmental justice necessitates community-driven solutions that are amplified by federal resources." According to the same press release, the grant money will be used to raise awareness among commercial and residential customers about the benefits of making the switch to goods that are safer and better for the environment. This information will be disseminated in the hopes of encouraging more people to make the switch.

In addition, it is made quite clear in the news release that was released by the EPA that the grant will be formally awarded once each and every one of the necessary administrative and legal conditions has been completed.
