Crypto Council for Innovation survey finds voters want candidates who will advance crypto regulations

The Crypto Council for Innovation (CCI), a global organization that advocates for digital assets through research and education, recently disclosed the results of a national survey conducted among crypto voters. The survey revealed that a significant majority of respondents would favor a candidate who seeks to establish clear regulations for the digital asset industry. These findings were released on January 3.

According to a post on CCI's website, the Tarrance Group and Patinkin Research Strategies carried out the survey in December 2023 on behalf of CCI. The survey indicated that 83% of respondents expressed their preference to vote for a candidate who "wants to write clear rules for cryptocurrency so that investors can continue to have choices, and the industry can continue to grow and create jobs." It was also found that this issue is at least somewhat important to 85% of Democratic respondents and 74% of Republican respondents, emphasizing their desire for Congress and the President to address digital assets.

"Crypto voters are here to stay and are sending a clear message: they want Congress to prioritize cryptocurrency regulation," said Cory Gardner, CCI Political Advisor and former U.S. senator from Colorado, in a statement shared by CCI. "This issue could be the deciding factor in tight races, offering a unique opportunity for any party ready to earn their trust."

As stated on its website, CCI is described as a "global alliance" committed to promoting innovation in the digital asset industry through regulatory measures and research. The organization has teams operating across various locations including the United States, London, Brussels, and Hong Kong.

Sheila Warren serves as CEO of CCI. According to information available on the CCI website, Warren's background includes experience as a Wall Street attorney, nonprofit lawyer and executive, as well as the founder of the World Economic Forum's blockchain and digital assets team.
