Intel has unveiled a new edge platform designed to scale artificial intelligence (AI) applications for businesses. The innovative software platform streamlines the development, deployment, and management of AI applications.
The Edge Platform is set to expedite time-to-scale development for businesses, enhancing the total cost of ownership. It is a modular platform that facilitates ready-made solutions across various industries by leveraging Intel's edge experience and its extensive ecosystem. According to an Intel press release, this empowers businesses to either construct their own solutions using the Edge Platform as a foundation or purchase complete solutions from Intel. The platform incorporates a single dashboard that allows IT personnel to manage edge nodes such as edge servers and industrial controls.

In addition to the Edge Platform, Intel has developed a new vPro Platform aimed at extending AI PCs to businesses. The newly introduced Intel Core Ultra processor plays a pivotal role in propelling the vPro Platform as it offers enhanced power efficiency and built-in Intel Arc GPUs available to consumers. Over 300 AI-accelerated features have been uniquely optimized in these new PCs through the Intel AI PC Acceleration Program for maximum efficiency. Security on these new PCs will be bolstered via the Intel Threat Detection Technology that utilizes the new NPU to enhance security risk efficiency.
