Arlington, Va. – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) released its international legislative priorities today, ahead of committee markups for the Fiscal Year 2025 National Defense Authorization Act and other significant authorizing legislation set to begin this week.

The AIA has advocated for legislative provisions aimed at promoting resilience within the defense industrial base, enhancing cooperation with allied and partner nations, and enabling the industry to support U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives.

"The U.S. defense industrial base has worked with foreign partners and allies for decades to build a resilient global supply chain that makes our country stronger. Now, we need Congress to take steps to remove outdated barriers to trade with our allies and partners that accelerates our industry’s ability to support global security," said AIA Vice President of International Affairs Dak Hardwick. "AIA’s priorities call on Congress to adapt to a rapidly changing world, allowing us to out-innovate, out-create, and out-deliver our adversaries. We look forward to working with Congress to implement these necessary changes."
