The Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Amanda Dory, met with Israeli Ministry of Defense Director General Eyal Zamir at the Pentagon today.
During the meeting, Dory emphasized the Administration's continued support for Israel's security. The two officials reviewed their collaborative efforts in defending Israel against Iran and its proxies following an unprecedented attack on April 13. Zamir expressed gratitude for the support provided by the United States.
Dory and Zamir also discussed Israel's operations against Hamas, stressing the need for the immediate release of all hostages and underscoring the importance of increasing humanitarian assistance to Palestinian civilians in Gaza while minimizing civilian casualties.
