Since its release on May 1, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has garnered significant global attention. Within the first week, it climbed Netflix's Top 10 TV (Non-English) list in 43 countries, becoming the most-viewed Indian series worldwide. The series has maintained the number one spot in India's Top 10 list since its launch.
The show has had a notable cultural impact, with fans creating reels and posts inspired by characters such as Mallikajaan and Fareedan. Additionally, elements like Bibbojaan’s walk of seduction, musical renditions of “Sakal Ban” and “Ek Baar Dekh Leejiye,” and costume recreations have also gained popularity. Due to this overwhelming fan response, Netflix India announced that the series will return for a second season.
In Mumbai's Carter Road, a flash mob of 100 dancers dressed in traditional anarkalis and ghungroos performed to songs from the series. This event culminated in the announcement of Season 2, leaving attendees excited.
