SINGAPORE – U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo met today with Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong for a Ministerial-level meeting of the U.S.-Singapore Partnership for Growth and Innovation (PGI). The discussion centered on the progress made over the past two and a half years through the U.S.-Singapore PGI, as well as current and future areas of focus for the initiative. Key topics included clean energy, the digital economy, and supply chains.
Secretary Raimondo expressed gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Gan and the Government of Singapore for hosting the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) Clean Economy Investor Forum and Ministerial meeting from June 5 to 6. Both officials agreed that results from these IPEF meetings clearly demonstrate "the economic benefits that IPEF has already and will continue to deliver for all IPEF partners."
