Apple is committed to supporting app creators globally and helping them optimize their work for users. Through various online and in-person programs, Apple encourages developers to connect with experts for guidance on their apps and games, exploring the latest Apple tools, technologies, features, and best practices.
In 2023, Apple expanded opportunities for developers to engage with experts, reaching creators from over 160 countries. Ahead of WWDC24, Apple launched additional avenues to reach developers globally, including updated Apple Developer Forums and Pathways.

Last year, nearly 50,000 developer engagements took place through the "Meet with Apple Experts" program. Participants explored the latest Apple tools and resources to enhance their apps while receiving direct insight from Apple experts. The company’s Developer Centers in the U.S., China, India, and Singapore have served as hubs for year-round developer engagements.
Apple Vision Pro developer labs have enabled developers to experience their visionOS, iPadOS, or iOS apps running on Apple Vision Pro. Since June 2023, these labs have seen over 6,000 visits from developers working alongside Apple experts in various global locations.
Apple Developer Academies and Foundation Programs offered students worldwide opportunities to explore app development essentials. In 2023 alone, the Academies trained over 1,900 students while more than 1,800 participated in Foundation Programs. Notably, women represented 53 percent of Academy students and 38 percent of Foundation Program participants.
The Apple Entrepreneur Camp continues its mission to assist entrepreneurs from underrepresented groups in creating cutting-edge apps. In its fifth anniversary year, the camp hosted five distinct cohorts in 2023.
Ahead of WWDC24 next week, updates were made to the Apple Developer Forums for better connectivity between developers and experts. The forums now feature a streamlined layout by topics and subtopics.
Pathways offer collections of videos and resources that help developers build great apps and games. Since May's launch over 40,000 developers accessed Pathways content on various topics including app design and game development.
This year marks a first where WWDC can be experienced on YouTube along with traditional platforms like the Apple Developer app and website.
