National Park Service seeks public comments on historic places nominations

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

The National Park Service is seeking electronic comments on the significance of properties nominated before April 20, 2024, for listing or related actions in the National Register of Historic Places. Comments should be submitted electronically by May 15, 2024.

Comments are encouraged to be sent via email to National_Register_Submissions@nps.gov with the subject line “Public Comment on .” For those without email access, comments can be mailed to the National Register of Historic Places, National Park Service, 1849 C Street NW, MS 7228, Washington, DC 20240.

The properties listed are being considered for listing or related actions in the National Register of Historic Places. Nominations were received by the National Park Service before April 20, 2024. According to Section 60.13 of 36 CFR part 60, comments are being accepted regarding the significance of these properties under the National Register criteria for evaluation.

Commenters should note that their entire comment—including personal identifying information—may be made publicly available at any time. While requests can be made to withhold such information from public review, there is no guarantee that it will be possible.

- Putnam County: Baker's Camp Covered Bridge; Cornstalk Covered Bridge; Dick Huffman Covered Bridge; Dunbar Covered Bridge; Edna Collings Covered Bridge; Houck Covered Bridge; Oakalla Covered Bridge; Pine Bluff Covered Bridge; Rolling Stone Covered Bridge

Oregon:

- Multnomah County: Normandale Field

Pennsylvania:

- Delaware County: Painter's Folly

- Franklin County: Mary B. Sharpe School

South Carolina:

- Aiken County: Ocean Grove School

- Georgetown County: Holy Cross Faith Memorial School
