Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will release the 2024 Trafficking in Persons Report (TIP Report) on Monday, June 24, at 11:00 a.m. ET at the U.S. Department of State. He will be joined by Cindy Dyer, Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons.

This annual report represents a comprehensive resource on anti-trafficking efforts worldwide. Mandated by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, the TIP Report underscores the United States’ longstanding bipartisan commitment to combating human trafficking. Anti-trafficking stakeholders globally use the report to guide and support their work. This year’s report, the 24th edition, includes narratives for 188 countries and territories, including the United States.

The introductory material of the TIP Report is drafted in partnership with the Department of State’s Human Trafficking Expert Consultant Network, which includes subject matter experts with lived experience of trafficking.

During the ceremony, Secretary Blinken and Ambassador Dyer will honor the 2024 TIP Report Heroes for their significant efforts to combat human trafficking. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the TIP Report Heroes award program. Following the ceremony, many of these Heroes will meet with their American counterparts in Washington, DC and Raleigh, North Carolina through the International Visitor Leadership Program.

The event will be open to press for in-person coverage and streamed live on both the Department homepage and YouTube channel. Afterward, Ambassador Dyer will deliver remarks and take questions in the Briefing Room at the top of the Department Press Briefing.

Instructions for embargoed access to the report will be sent to members of the press on Monday, June 24 at 9:00 a.m. ET. Pre-set time for video cameras is scheduled for 10:15 a.m., with final access time for writers and stills set for 10:30 a.m., both from the 23rd Street entrance.

Media representatives may attend these events upon presentation of one of several identification options including a U.S. Government-issued ID card or media-issued photo ID card.
